Hi, I am Masha.
I am a certified ESL teacher, a Ukrainian immigrant in Canada, and someone who has walked the same path you are on right now. Learning English changed my life, and I want to help it change yours.

My Story
I grew up in Ukraine, where English was just another school subject -- something I memorized for tests but never really used. When I decided to move to Canada, I quickly realized that textbook English and real-world English are two very different things.
Those first months were humbling. I stumbled through conversations, misunderstood idioms, and felt embarrassed every time I could not express myself the way I wanted to. I remember standing at a coffee shop, unable to explain that I wanted oat milk instead of regular milk. It sounds small, but moments like that can feel enormous when you are in them.
But I was determined. I immersed myself in English -- reading, watching, listening, and most importantly, speaking, even when it was uncomfortable. Over time, something clicked. Not just the language itself, but an understanding of how languages work, what makes them hard, and what actually helps people learn.
That understanding became my teaching philosophy. I started tutoring other immigrants in my community, helping them with the same challenges I had faced. I saw the relief on their faces when a confusing grammar rule finally made sense, and I knew this was what I wanted to do.
I earned my TEFL/TESOL certification, expanded to teaching students online from around the world, and built this platform so that anyone, anywhere, can access high-quality English learning resources -- with the personal touch that only a real teacher can provide.
My Teaching Approach
Three words guide everything I do as a teacher.
Patient
I know that learning a new language takes courage. I create a safe, judgment-free space where making mistakes is not just okay -- it is how you learn. There is no such thing as a stupid question in my lessons.
Practical
I focus on the English you will actually use. Whether that means preparing for a job interview, writing business emails, or chatting with your neighbors, every lesson connects to your real life.
Personalized
No two students are the same, and no two lesson plans should be either. I assess your strengths, identify your challenges, and build a learning path that works specifically for you.
